The agency refutes rumors about Kim Garam’s comeback amidst the school violence controversy.

On June 11, reports surfaced that Kim Garam was in discussions for an exclusive contract with Moden Berry Korea, leading to speculation about her potential return. However, Moden Berry Korea released an official statement on the same day, stating, “There is no truth to the rumors of an exclusive contract with Kim Garam.”

Kim Garam faced controversy following the release of LE SSERAFIM’s debut teaser in April 2022. Allegations of school bullying and other inappropriate behavior from her past circulated online, sparking widespread criticism.

Despite the initial backlash, Kim Garam went on to debut with LE SSERAFIM on May 2. However, the controversy intensified, leading her to suspend activities just 19 days later on May 20.

Despite releasing a personal statement and sharing official school records in an attempt to defend herself, the disciplinary actions mentioned in the documents, along with the use of inappropriate language and images, hindered Kim Garam’s efforts to sway public opinion.

The agency’s response to the situation was also met with criticism. Finally, on July 20, just two months after her debut, Source Music announced the termination of Kim Garam’s contract, marking her exit from LE SSERAFIM.

After leaving the group, Kim Garam focused on her education and graduated from high school the following year. She has since enrolled in the Department of Media Acting at Konkuk University.

Recently, nearly three years after her departure from the group, Kim Garam launched a personal Instagram account to share updates and glimpses into her current life.

Despite rumors swirling about her potential comeback, Kim Garam’s former agency has firmly denied any plans for her return. Currently, Kim seems dedicated to her studies and personal life, with no confirmed intentions of stepping back into the limelight.
