[pann] SM IS TOO OBSESSED WITH AESPA’S AMERICAN ADVANCEMENT

Posted on

5. What are aespa’s US performance and future strategy?

– We’re also working on TV broadcasts, local event appearances, and music marketing. However, we regret not being able to fully execute our existing plans.

– We plan to strengthen our US activities next year. We plan to dedicate more time to promotion.

This is something SM officially released,

and even after getting so much criticism, they still haven’t learned their lesson.

They’re not even properly managing aespa’s promotions in Korea or the US

and when they go to the US, they don’t even prepare proper content for Korean fans to enjoy while they’re gone.

Just like this time, they half-heartedly did Korean music shows and activities, then immediately headed off to the US

Please, at least take care of the fans you already have.

Right now, because of SM, aespa fans are seriously angry, public sentiment has crashed, people are boycotting, and everyone’s pissed off.

But SM’s so blinded by the US market that they’re not even trying to keep their existing fans’ situation.

They’ve been ignoring fans’ requests for years.

There’s barely any new content, yet the company keeps posting notices asking for money.

They only ever do things that drive fans away.

They’re obsessed with targeting the US, but fans are getting more and more exhausted since there’s almost no content left

and because there’s nothing new, no new fans are coming in either.

aespa is SM’s biggest cash cow right now,

so stop doing things that lower their value and focus on keeping the loyal fans you already have.

But rather than SM’s obsession with the US, that other group filled with gaejussi fans are even worse, with how obsessed they are with the American culture. Whenever aespa gets praised for their ads or buzz factor, because there’s nothing to boast about for that ‘other’ group, you guys can only resort to flaunting their “American success” ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ aespa doesn’t need to spend energy in the US, they’re already famous enough. It’s not like US is the only country overseas either ㅋㅋ

That fandom claims that they’re doing better than aespa in the US, but if you look at actual album sales, they sold less than aespa. Plus their operating profit is in the red, so is their American success even that meaningful?

Is there any meaning to fighting about US recognition for anyone in the 4th generation? Anyways, if you asked Americans which K-pop groups they know about, they barely know any of them. They might know BTS and BlackPink but that’s it, the rest are all the same ㅋㅋㅋ especially people in the 4th generation, is there really one group who succeeded in the US? K-pop is already non-mainstream in the US, so aside from BTS and BlackPink, everyone else is a f*cking nobody ㅋㅋㅋㅋ It’s useless to fight over who is more successful in the US, meanwhile those ajussis think they can mess with a top girl group like that ^^ Whether aespa is popular or not in the US, it’s a fact that they’re a popular in Korea, Japan and China~ And their results are better than your bias’~

“They” might be popular in the US, but their album’s first week sales f*cking flopped ㅋㅋ So is there any meaning to compare? aespa might not be successful in the US, but they’ve seized other markets and they’re selling way better in terms of albums and concert tickets

Who cares? ㅋㅋㅋ I’m someone who stans other girl grousp and boy groups from another company, but it’s better than you guys bashing other company’s groups all the time. Your parents are the problem
