“After receiving an email from HYBE, [The Gate] confirmed that a trial is underway in which filmmaker Amanda Ghost is suing TAG PR founder Melissa Nathan, claiming that TAG PR created an anonymous defamation site to attack her. According to the complaint Ghost submitted to the court, the pattern of defamation used against her is very similar to the pattern of defamation used against former ADOR CEO Min Heejin.
The Gate contacted the US legal representative involved in this case. An official from the law firm stated, “Those who strongly suspect they were slandered by TAG PR are sequentially entering lawsuits, starting with Ghost.” and “We plan to ask former ADOR CEO Min Heejin soon whether she intends to participate in the lawsuit. If necessary, we plan to visit South Korea ourselves.”
“The site described former CEO Min as a “cunning and despicable person,” a “K-pop criminal,” and a “person receiving help from a shaman,” attempting to socially ostracize them. American pop culture critic Ian Carroll pointed out that a trace of the “digital fingerprint” revealed that the sites attacking former CEO Min were clearly the work of TAG PR.
