On September 12, SBS’s Running Man uploaded a preview clip titled, “He even speaks sweetly when they argue. Ji Ye Eun reveals why she decided to marry her ‘future husband’ Vata♥.”
That day, Ji Ye Eun appeared at the Running Man filming set to congratulations from the cast, shortly after announcing her upcoming marriage.
Ji Ye Eun explained that she had already decided to get married before publicly confirming their relationship in April. She then addressed rumors that she was rushing into marriage because of a premarital pregnancy, saying, “People around me said, ‘Isn’t it too soon?’ and ‘Are you pregnant before marriage?’ But I feel unfairly accused because we don’t have a child. We don’t have any plans for children yet, and I want to enjoy being newlyweds.”
She also revealed that her future in-laws already like her, saying, “They really love me. They watch Running Man every day, too.”
Meanwhile, Haha mentioned Vata’s unexpected qualities, saying that he “studies well and reads a lot of books.” Ji Ye Eun proudly revealed that Vata is an engineering graduate of Hongik University. Yoo Jae Suk immediately burst out laughing and joked, “Oh, so you’re checking out his educational background.”
Ji Ye Eun then added, “Vata only reads books. We’re a little incompatible intellectually,” making everyone on set burst into laughter.
Meanwhile, Ji Ye Eun is set to marry Vata this December after dating for approximately one year.
