However, Yahoo reports that amidst the uproar over her appearance, one crucial detail seems to have been overlooked: the video was filmed just months after Fox gave birth to her fourth child and was still in the postpartum phase.
The controversy arose when Letterboxd shared a video on October 1 as part of its Four Favorites interview series. Although the clip was recently released, the interview itself was conducted in October 2025.
During this time, Megan Fox and director Karyn Kusama reunited at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles for a special screening of their film collaboration, Jennifer’s Body (2009).
The conversation initially focused on their shared passion for cinema. Fox and Kusama shared their favorite movies and discussed the films that had a significant impact on them. Fox’s movie picks included Braveheart, The Lion King, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, and the Harry Potter series.

The criticism escalated to the extent that Letterboxd disabled comments on its Instagram post, although the platform did not provide a public explanation for this action.
Nevertheless, the context of the interview’s timing is essential. Fox welcomed her fourth child, Saga Blade, in March 2025. The video was recorded in October of the same year, while she was still adjusting to post-childbirth changes.
