On October 15, the official YouTube channel of American fashion magazine Vogue released a video titled “aespa Play Never Have I Ever.”
The video featured aespa members Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning answering a variety of questions. The members candidly shared stories about repeatedly listening to their own songs and feeling embarrassed when looking back at their past interviews, among other topics.
However, what caught the attention of Japanese internet users was not the interview itself, but Winter’s sitting posture.

While seated in a chair, Winter crossed one leg over the other and then hooked the raised foot behind the calf of her opposite leg. The unusual position made it look as though she had crossed her legs twice.
A Japanese internet user who spotted the moment shared a photo, commenting that Winter’s legs were so long that she appeared to have performed a “self-inflicted leg-folding technique.” The post attracted widespread attention, recording more than 1.6 million views.

The unusual pose sparked various reactions online, with users debating whether it was possible because of Winter’s leg length or her flexibility. Some even attempted to replicate the position themselves to see whether they could pull it off.
Interest grew further as users pointed out that Winter’s listed height is approximately 164 centimeters, adding another talking point to the discussion surrounding her distinctive pose.
Meanwhile, Winter debuted as a member of aespa in 2020 and has earned widespread popularity through hit songs including “Next Level,” “Drama,” and “Supernova.” aespa is currently meeting fans around the world through its SYNK : COMPLæXITY world tour, which spans 25 regions across North America, South America, Europe, and beyond.
