Elbaph emerges as one of the top four longest arcs in One Piece, showcasing its significant role in the final saga.

The journey through the kingdom of Elbaph has officially surpassed 23 previous story arcs to become the fourth-longest arc in One Piece history.

Beginning with Chapter 1126, the Straw Hats’ journey to the land of the giants has now reached a major historical milestone. With the release of Chapter 1194, Elbaph has officially surpassed Egghead to become the fourth-longest arc in Eiichiro Oda’s entire series.

In the world of One Piece, some adventures grow so large that they almost feel like a series of their own, and Elbaph has now reached that scale. Beginning with Chapter 1126 in September 2024, immediately after the conclusion of the Egghead arc, Elbaph has rapidly climbed the rankings.

Chapter 1194 brings Elbaph’s total length to 69 chapters. According to chapter counts for One Piece arcs shared by the X account @EMUNOPLA, that milestone officially puts Elbaph ahead of Egghead’s 68 chapters and means it has now surpassed 23 other story arcs throughout the series.

The list of arcs overtaken by Elbaph includes several classics: Skypiea with 66 chapters, Arabasta with 63, Enies Lobby with 56, Water 7 with 53, Fish-Man Island with 51, and Thriller Bark with 48. Even early adventures such as Syrup Village, Little Garden, and Orange Town now sit far behind Elbaph in terms of length.

What is surprising is that Elbaph does not feel like an unusually long arc simply for the sake of length. Rather than treating the land of the giants as just another island for the Straw Hats to explore, Eiichiro Oda has turned the kingdom into a key to unlocking some of the greatest mysteries surrounding the world. The arrival of Loki, the history of the Giants, connections to the Void Century, and Imu’s increasingly prominent involvement have given the storyline considerable weight. Elbaph reaching 69 chapters is therefore more than just another number—it demonstrates how important the arc has become to the Final Saga.

The milestone becomes even more impressive when comparing the five longest arcs in One Piece:

Wano Country: 149 chapters (Chapters 909–1057)
Dressrosa: 102 chapters (Chapters 700–801)
Whole Cake Island: 78 chapters (Chapters 825–902)
Elbaph: 69 chapters (Chapter 1126–ongoing)
Egghead: 68 chapters (Chapters 1058–1125)

What makes Elbaph completely different from the others is that its 69-chapter count is still growing. Wano, Dressrosa, Whole Cake Island, and Egghead have all concluded, while the adventure in Elbaph remains ongoing. Whole Cake Island’s 78-chapter mark is now within reach. If Oda maintains the current pace, Elbaph could climb even higher on the list.

More importantly, Elbaph’s scale perfectly matches the direction of the Final Saga. The arc is tackling matters involving the Giants, ancient history, powerful figures, and mysteries connected to some of the biggest unanswered questions in One Piece. From a destination fans had waited years to finally see, Elbaph has grown into one of the central stages of the entire story.

For a series that has been running for more than two decades, seeing a new arc break into the top four this late in the story is a remarkable milestone. And with the Elbaph adventure showing no signs of ending yet, 69 chapters may only be the first major stop on the way to an even bigger final count.
