In 2025, fans were shocked when KG, a former member of VCHA, announced her departure from the group and filed a lawsuit against JYP Entertainment’s U.S. branch, alleging that she had experienced abusive treatment during her time with the company.
VCHA was created through the survival program A2K (America2Korea), a project centered around J.Y. Park’s vision of developing a girl group trained within the K-pop system. Alongside her allegations of abuse, KG claimed that one member had been pushed to the point of attempting suicide. Due to the timing of Kaylee’s hiatus, some fans speculated that she was the member being referenced, although this has never been officially confirmed.
Following these developments, VCHA underwent a major lineup change and was reintroduced as the four-member group GIRLSET after Kaylee officially announced her departure in July 2025.

Since leaving the group, Kaylee has remained active on social media, and one of her latest appearances has now gained significant attention online.
On August 31, New York-based street dance crew I Love Dance NYC uploaded a cover of “Iconic By Mistake,” a song associated with LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, and KATSEYE.
Viewers were quick to notice that Kaylee was among the dancers featured in the performance. Her participation was also confirmed through posts on her own social media account, where she revealed that she had been invited to take part.
The appearance prompted mixed emotions from fans. While some felt heartbroken seeing how Kaylee’s journey with VCHA ultimately came to an end, others were simply glad to see her dancing again and enjoying herself. Several commenters also noted that she appeared healthy and happy.
Kaylee had already begun pursuing music independently, making her solo debut in August 2025 with “Cotton Candy.”
