On October 22, the 31st Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court conducted the sixth hearing regarding the lawsuit filed by ADOR against Danielle, her family member, and former CEO Min Hee Jin, aiming for around 33 billion won in damages.

During the fifth hearing on September 10, both parties debated the extent of disclosure necessary for evaluating the alleged damages. ADOR argued that providing the appraiser with complete original documents was challenging due to containing trade secrets. In response, Danielle’s side insisted on access to the originals to verify the appraisal results.

A compromise was proposed by the court for ADOR to submit appraisal materials with trade secrets redacted or shaded out, which ADOR complied with on October 21.

The main point of contention in the sixth hearing was whether Danielle violated the exclusive contract by collaborating with international artists after a court injunction prohibited independent activities.

Arguments arose about the delay in submitting necessary documents for calculating damages, with ADOR citing concerns over trade secrets and confidentiality. The court directed both parties to organize and submit their positions on calculating damages and NewJeans’ future activities before the next hearing on November 12.

The legal battle started when NewJeans terminated their contracts on November 28, 2024, with the court ruling on October 30, 2025, that the contracts were still valid. ADOR then notified Danielle of contract termination and pursued the damages lawsuit.
