New Recruit: Haunted Military Hospital, directed by Min Jin Ki, follows the “New Recruit” squad as they check into a military hospital expecting a much-needed break, only to encounter disturbing rumors and secrets lurking inside what they initially believed would be paradise. Director Min Jin Ki, who led the series to new ratings highs through its recent fourth season, returns behind the camera, combining the franchise’s signature hyper-realistic appeal with the fresh thrills and humor of the horror-comedy genre.

The newly released launch poster shows the familiar “New Recruit” characters standing together in front of the eerie Armed Forces Yangcheon Hospital. Park Min Seok (Kim Min Ho) turns back toward the hospital with a mysterious expression, while the tagline, “A blockbuster-scale horror comedy is deploying,” raises anticipation for the chaotic adventures that will unfold at the military hospital after the characters leave their usual base behind.
The addition of new faces is also drawing attention. Actor Ryu Kyung Soo, known for his strong acting skills, will play Yoo Jae Hoon, a mysterious soldier hospitalized at the military facility, adding another layer of mystery to the story. Meanwhile, TWICE member Jeongyeon will take on the role of military nursing officer Yoo Jeongyeon, marking her first acting role on the big screen and bringing fresh energy to the franchise.
With the established chemistry of the New Recruit cast and an expanded universe, New Recruit: Haunted Military Hospital is set to hit theaters this winter.
