Trithipnipa Thippaphada is considered one of the most unusual personalities in Thailand’s entertainment industry. Born in 1989 into an impoverished family, Trithipnipa faced financial difficulties from an early age. At just 16, the future beauty queen began working as a dancer in nightclubs and bars to help repay family debts and save money for gender-affirming surgery. As financial pressures continued to grow, Trithipnipa eventually dropped out of a performing arts college.
In 2013, at the age of 24, Trithipnipa underwent gender-affirming surgery and began living as a woman. The following year, she entered the Miss Tiffany Universe Thailand beauty pageant, finishing as first runner-up. Her feminine appearance and striking beauty quickly attracted public attention.
Trithipnipa’s popularity reached another milestone in 2019 when she was crowned Miss Trans World Thailand. Following the victory, she became a prominent figure in Thailand’s transgender beauty community, earning comparisons with well-known personalities such as Nong Poy and Noey.
However, just one year after winning the Miss Trans World Thailand crown, Trithipnipa surprised fans by announcing plans to undergo another surgical procedure to return to a masculine appearance. Explaining the decision, Trithipnipa revealed that after spending six years living as a woman, he had come to realize that he felt more comfortable wearing men’s clothing, keeping his hair short, and presenting himself with a masculine physique.
Today, Trithipnipa remains active in Thailand’s entertainment industry under the stage name ARM. He continues working as a model, gender-fluid performer, dancer, and content creator, maintaining a public presence despite the major changes in his personal life and appearance.
