I just listened to the whole album, and you can tell that not a single member got buried this time. The issue isn’t their talent, but each member plays a completely different role in defining the group’s identity. It felt like JYP hadn’t really showcased that properly before, but this time they nailed it. I already kind of knew what Lily and Kyujin brought to NMIXX, but now I understand the roles of the other members too. One thing’s for sure: Sullyoon isn’t just the “pretty one who also sings well”, she’s way more than that. And Bae contributes a lot more than I expected in elevating NMIXX’s overall image. I really felt that this time. Also, it seems like they took a lot of feedback about Jiwoo into account? They wisely shifted her from the usual “main/lead rapper” position to more of a “killing point” hitting hard with those killer parts. It was a smart move.

The song was good, and I’m not sure if this is planned, but I always felt like NMIXX suited the blue concept well. Everything their released from the genres to the auras were different, but I feel like the core color is consistent with them and it’s nice to see. It’s kinda like how Red Velvet has their distinct dark and bright versions. It’s like they really are able to maintain the same color?
