During a recent interview with Japan’s TV Asahi Channel 1, T.O.P was asked how he felt after hearing about BIGBANG beginning a world tour for the first time in nine years.
“I’ll continue my activities as a solo artist,” T.O.P said. “Although I can’t be with the group, I always support and cheer for the members’ activities and music.”

T.O.P also reflected on the difficult years he experienced during his long hiatus.
“It was the darkest chapter of my life, something I had never experienced before,” he said, adding that the difficult period ultimately helped him grow.
He explained that creating music made him feel alive again and gave him the strength to get back on his feet.
T.O.P debuted as a member of BIGBANG in 2006 and participated in numerous hit songs before stepping away from the group. He later returned to entertainment through Netflix’s Squid Game 2 in 2024.
In April, T.O.P released his first full-length solo album, Album T.O.P – 1st Album [TOP SPOT – 다중관점 (ANOTHER DIMENSION)], marking a new chapter in his career as a solo artist.
