The morning of October 6 saw Lee Yoo Jin personally reveal his upcoming marriage on Instagram. He shared a series of wedding photos with a heartfelt message, announcing that he and Cha Kyung Eun will tie the knot in mid-November.
In his post, Lee Yoo Jin reflected, “In my 20s, I became an actor, and this year, in my 30s, I achieved my longtime dream of becoming a director. My final dream was to meet someone who would make me want to devote myself to spending the rest of my life with them.”
Describing his future wife, Lee Yoo Jin expressed, “Kyung Eun is the person I want to talk to first at the end of a busy day. Even when I couldn’t believe in myself, just a few words from her turned the impossible into the possible more than once. She is someone I’m grateful to for teaching me that sometimes, a single warm word is enough to create a miracle.”
Continuing, Lee Yoo Jin shared, “I don’t think I’ll ever have another wonderful experience in my life that makes me think so actively about ‘forever.’ That’s why I decided to become a family with this person.”
He added, “We will cherish each other and build a happy life together. I will also continue working diligently as both an actor and a director. I would be grateful if you could warmly celebrate this new beginning with someone who is both a once-in-a-lifetime friend and a dependable partner.”
Cha Kyung Eun also took to her Instagram on the same day to share the news, stating, “Some of you may be surprised by the sudden news, but building a happy family has long been one of my biggest goals. I have now met someone precious and am beginning a new chapter in my life.”
She added, “I will continue doing my best to show a good side of myself, both as an actress and as a person building a family. We would be grateful if you could warmly celebrate and bless our new beginning.”
Lee Yoo Jin made his acting debut in the 2013 drama Goddess of Fire and has since appeared in various productions. Cha Kyung Eun, a graduate of Seoul Institute of the Arts, has also been involved in acting and appeared in several dramas.
The couple met through Lee Yoo Jin’s directorial debut, the short-form drama Cast Me if You Can!, and eventually started dating. With a six-year age gap, Lee Yoo Jin and Cha Kyung Eun share a bond that led them to this momentous occasion.
Interestingly, Cha Kyung Eun is the younger sister of actress Kim Seung Yoon, who recently announced her own marriage to actor Jang Dong Yoon. The two sisters will be getting married just a month apart.
