[theqoo] ALLDAY PROJECT’S TARZZAN WHO SEEMS TO HAVE GOTTEN ON THE BAD SIDE OF THE K-POP INTERNATIONAL FANDOM

Posted on

There had actually been a lot of talk among international fans even before debut about ALLDAY PROJECT’S Tarzzan having reggae-style hair.

Because of this, the issue kept getting retweeted by haters, and opinions were heavily divided. Some hoped the company would consider changing his hairstyle.

But then, taking that as an excuse, people began posting extreme fabrications and harsh mockery toward Tarzzan.

He never said the N-word, but people are retweeting it claiming he did.

(For reference, this song doesn’t even contain the N-word, so it’s unlikely Tarzzan sang it by reading the lyrics. The original poster also heard it as “they,” not the N-word.)

Hello, this is The Black Label.

First and foremost, we sincerely apologize for the recent controversy surrounding member Tarzzan and the news of his departure, which has caused concern among fans.

Tarzzan has been actively participating as a member of the team, but repeated instances of cultural appropriation and inappropriate remarks have led to significant disappointment among fans. In particular, the recent incident involving the use of the N-word has been taken very seriously by both the company and the artist. After thorough discussions and review, we have decided on Tarzzan’s removal from the team.

We deeply reflect on the harm caused to fans due to our lack of oversight and will do our utmost to strengthen artist education and internal systems to prevent such incidents from happening again.

We kindly ask for your continued support for the remaining members of the ALLDAY PROJECT, so they can continue their journey in a healthier and more sincere way. We will do our best to regain your trust.

Thank you.

Someone even made a fake apology statement (;;) claiming that Tarzzan said the N-word and that The Black Label posted an apology because of it.

They’re spreading this narrative as if Tarzzan actually said the N-word and the company issued an apology, but it was a complete fabrication. While something like this might not gain much traction in Korea, there’s a high chance it could spread among international fans who haven’t properly fact-checked the situation.

In addition, people are posting group photos with Tarzzan cropped out, claiming he’s already left the group. Things are clearly escalating…

Personally, I think criticism about his dreadlocks isn’t really something people outside the race should be weighing in on, and as long as it doesn’t cross into excessive hate, it’s hard to avoid.

But at this point, it feels like people are actively trying to label him as a racist, and the company really needs to step in and take action as soon as possible.

1. What’s wrong with his hair?

2. Why are they faking apologies? I-roaches are such r*tards

3. Being an i-roach is straight up a mental disease… The only way is to ignore them

4. All those i-roaches lead such sad lives, that’s why they act like that. They’re f*cking low

5. I-roaches and their bullsh*t again

6. US isn’t the only country that exists…

7. I-roaches are so cringe, they really overreact to anything..

8. Seriously only those K-pop i-roaches are making a big deal out of it… You can tell they’re already obsessed

9. That hair is completely find though?

10. They f*coking crossed the line with that
